But on the other end of the spectrum is 3D animation, or more commonly
known as CGI or computer generated image. 3D animation was first
thought to make the job of animator easier and be cheaper than the more
traditional approach to animation. But when done correctly 3D can be just
as heartwarming as any 2D project. A grand example of 3D done right is
the film toy story, which was the worlds first purely 3D animated movie.
Toy story was 3D film with the proper care into creating because even
today the animation still holds up.
